Conrad R. Orr is the CEO at CRO Engineering Group and has over 30 years of leadership experience in planning, engineering and design of residential, commercial, educational, medical, industrial, hospitality, mixed-use and food service projects with an emphasis on mechanical and plumbing engineering and design. Prior to opening the doors of CRO Engineering Group Mr. Orr worked for a few small MEP firms before finding a home at Cochran and Associates in Tustin California where he spent over 15 years as the firms lead project manager and office manager. Since creating CRO Engineering Group in November of 1993 Mr. Orr has successfully positioned the firm as a recognized leader in the industry of mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering and design. In his role of CEO, Mr. Orr is responsible for the overall direction of CRO Engineering Group, as well as the day to day operations, business development and corporate management of the firm. Under Mr. Orr’s guidance, CRO Engineering Group is currently licensed to perform mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering in all 50 of the United States of America, and is currently partnered in the engineering and design of a large number of significant projects in a variety of Cities throughout the United States. Conrad R Orr, Jr

Senior Plumbing Project Manager

Professional Synopsis:
Mr. Orr began his engineering career in 2002 while still in high school as a part time job as a CAD draftsman for Cochran and Associates in Tustin California, a small Plumbing Design firm. He took General Education courses at Riverside Community College from 2003 to 2005 and obtained a Certificate of Completion in Plumbing Design for the Plumbing Systems Design Course at UCLA Extension in 2007. In 2005 Conrad began working for CRO Engineering Group while the company was still being run out of his father’s spare room in Huntington Beach California. From 2005 Conrad has grown from a draftsman to a lead plumbing designer/project manager, managing multiple projects at a time. Conrad is proficient in 2D and 3D plumbing design; he also has experience as a mechanical draftsman. He has worked on a large number of mechanical and plumbing 3D projects as a draftsman utilizing AutoCAD MEP 2012. He is currently looking to further his knowledge in the use of Revit. Conrad is a valuable part of the day-to-day operations of CRO Engineering Group and looks forward to working with you on your project.

Kevin Barnes

Mechanical Project Manager

Professional Synopsis:
Kevin began his engineering career in 2005 straight out of school after graduating from Cal Poly Pomona with his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / manufacturing engineering technology. He received his EIT in 2007.
He was strongly involved in health care projects for CHOC hospital OC, Cedar Sinai , Kaiser Hospitals, VA hospitals, MLK hospital (Wilmington) campus redesign and upgrade. These health care projects range from small renovations to large scale new construction.
Experience ranges from the installation of a package unit to serve a single room to the complete design of a central plant with a 4800 ton chilled water system and 2100 BHP boiler plant to service an entire facility (Campus). Mr. Rueda is a Mechanical Project Manager at CRO Engineering Group, Inc. and has been a CAD Design consultant for over 13 years with an emphasis on design for the past 8 years. His ability to conduct load calculations and Title-24 Compliance calculations combined with a strong Mechanical Drafting background, allows his guidance and coordination throughout all phases of the project from schematic design to construction. His professional experience covers various industries including Commercial/Office, Healthcare, Education and Retail/Mixed-Use. William is an Electrical Designer at CRO Engineering. William started drafting early in life where he found his passion for drafting. He graduated High School with Honors and set his focus on Orange Coast College to further his education in Drafting & Design. While taking courses at Orange Coast College William freelanced for smaller firms specializing in Electrical Design for 10 years before coming to CRO where he specializes in Lighting and California Title – 24 energy calculations. Moises has been with CRO Engineering Group since February 2013. He began his carrier at CRO Engineering Group as the Senior CAD Drafter. He showed great interest in the design of plumbing systems and he was eventually promoted to Plumbing Department where he has excelled as a Plumbing Designer.

Moises brings over 14 years of AutoCAD skills to CRO Engineering Group, skills that include graphic design, logo design, 3D models and movie rendering, project administration, client project reviews, presentations, architectural design, landscaping design, urban design, custom single family and multifamily structures, hotels, schools, hospital design, concert halls, and conceptual design projects.

With his in-depth knowledge of AutoCAD Moises also instructs all new employees to CRO Engineering Group CAD standards.

Robin Orr

Office Manager

Professional Synopsis:
Robin comes to the CROEG team with over 10 years of civil engineering experience where she did research, due diligence and permit processing. Robin also has over 10 years of office management experience from several different retail and customer service offices ranging from Pacific Life health insurance and computer parts sales to tool and dye manufacturing. Her duties cover employee benefits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, travel, purchasing, collections, and day to day office operations.

Meryl Orr


Professional Synopsis:
Meryl Orr began working at CRO Engineering Group, Inc. in April of 2014 as the office administrator. Meryl is responsible for the day to day operations of the office; helping to maintain all invoicing, bills and payroll, assisting the design team, making deliveries, arranging meetings and travel itinerary’s for the design team and assisting with all human resource responsibilities. Meryl also manages all of the company’s social media accounts, and anything/everything in between.
When Meryl is not at CRO, she is with her husband Conrad Orr Jr., where they enjoy traveling, the beach, and being around family and friends. She is also an avid runner and competes in races regularly… for fun!
